What is Fika Community Initiative?
Collect
Collect non-expired, shelf-stable food ready for pantry donation.

Fi·ka/ˈfîːka/ • [ Swedish ]
verb | noun
The Essential Pause. Often translated as a "coffee and cake break," but truly a state of mind. It is the ritual of slowing down to appreciate the moment and connect with others.
Connect
Those in need are often closer than you think. Invite your neighbors over to dinner, start a community potluck, or see what the food collection site closest to you needs.

Grow
Grow a bit more produce in your garden than you need, and give what you can to those who will enjoy it. Some food collection sites collect fresh produce.
Donate
Give what you can, when you can. Brown paper bag programs make it easy.
